“Monster of the Day” Action Figure Legacy!

(Information taken from the amazing GRNRNGR Toy Database / Images from Google & TokuNation)

During Toy Fair this year it was revealed that a big group of Dino Charge Monsters are to be released as figures! This is amazing and is something we haven’t seen since the days of Lightspeed Rescue!
In the early days of Mighty Morphin’ toy sales were booming and figures were pumped out like crazy! Not only did the Original 6 Rangers get massive releases but we also saw heavy releases of “Monsters of the Day” as well.
First, let’s define what MOTD refers to. In this article, regarding the figure, only applies to Monsters sent by the Main Villain of the season for at the max 1-2 episodes. That name, to me anyways, came from the time when MMPR aired during the week and was basically on everyday. (Lately, it has been referred to as Monster of the Week.)
Either way, these figures are amazing! The Monster Figures have seen some of the best detail among all other figures!
Let’s take a look back at the MOTD Figures throughout the last 22 years and see just how many there are!

*Disclaimer: Deluxe Figures are not included in this article. Figures that only qualify as 4″ or 5″ are counted in this listing.
There are many Deluxe Monster of the Day figures, please check out that information here.
