Ressha Sentai ToQger: Station 33 Review

TOOT-TOOT RESSHA SENTAI TOQGER. Let’s go! Today’s episode is entitled: “The Karate Showdown”

After deciding to fight on, Mr. Conductor worries if the ToQgers are becoming too mature. He’s talking about them going through puberty. JKJKLOL

We find out that the team has a plan to take out the Shadow Line as well as we learn that Right and Hikari used to practice karate when they were younger.

A town has been taken over by the Shadow Line! When the ToQgers arrive, they are attacked by karate fighters. This guy had them attack the ToQgers to see how tough they were? He hits himself to apologize. Okay cool.

We meet Syringe Shadow, who fucking terrifies me, and puts time release poison watches on people to kill them after two days time. THIS SOME FUCKED UP CHILDREN SHOW. Ain’t no way in hell this is being used in Power Rangers. To stop the poison release, you have to make it to the top of the tower and bust his giant syringe, taking out Crows along the way too.

He puts the watches on the ToQgers who can no longer transform now.

Right and Hikari craft a plan to use their karate to take out the Crows and Syringe Shadow. Flashback: Right beats Hikari in a sparring match. Right’s Dad rags on his lazy ass son. haha

They make it to the top and the other ToQgers fly in from Car Carrier cars to takle Syringe Shadow.

They were creeping. hahahah

Apparently Syringe Shadow at the top was a decoy, but Right and Hikari already know it’s the crazy old man behind them. They bust the giant syringe.

The poison watches fall off everyone and the team transforms. Right takes Syringe Shadow out while falling down from a building using Hyper Last Stop Crash! I loved how this was shot. Beautiful long shot.

The team calls upon Cho Cho ToQ Dai-Oh to take on a now giant Syringe Shadow. Syringe Shadow zaps their power with his needle so they call upon Hyper Express Tei-Oh.

Tei-Oh flashes Syringe Shadow into millions of golden bits.

Back on the Rainbow Line, Right sulks about losing to Hikari for most Crow TKOs. What a little bitch.

Review

This episode was straight up filler or a PSA for getting your children vaccinated. No new mecha combos, no exciting background plot info, it wasn’t even funny really. haha Going from a mind blowing episode last time, to a mediocre episode this time, I give this a 4 out 10, because like, come on, you can do better. Plus this monster’s suit design is terrifying and I probably won’t be able to sleep tonight now.

Until next time, this has been SimplyScott1/PowerSentai. Stay imaginative!
