The 36th Sentai, Tokumei Sentai Gobusters have finally been revealed!
“The Super Sentai of 2012 has been revealed! Tokumei Sentai Gobusters. Waging a secret fight against a Super Computer that has gained self awareness, Team Gobusters is formed!”
The team is composed of the Gobusters and their Partner Buddy Roids; a cheetah, a gorilla and a rabbit.
The core team is RedBuster, BlueBuster, YellowBuster.
My thoughts: The suits are reminiscent of GokaiSilver which was expected. We really haven’t seen such suits before and they look pretty interesting. I would need to see them in action to get a feel for how they look! However, I will say they look a lot like mission impossible and I have heard the Sentai is based on Spies so this could be the reasoning behind the suits. They don’t look very creative comparted to Gokaiger or Shinkenger even and the helmets seem a little boring to me. However, I could grow to love them in time but right now they seem a little bland but also completely different for Sentai. I’m torn.
Chida Nikku, RedBuster’s Roid/Mecha is a Cheetah has three modes: (Gobuster Ace) Cheetah Mode, Racecar Mode, & Robot Mode.
Gorisaki Banana, BlueBuster’s Roid/Mecha is a Gorilla: (GT-02 Gorilla) with Gorilla Mode and a Truck Mode
Usada Letas, YellowBuster’s Roid/Mecha is a Rabbit: (RH-03) with Rabbit Mode and a Helicopter Mode
The Gobuster Henshin Device is called the “MorphinBrace”
There’s a lot of talk already about the idea that Sentai might be nodding towards Power Rangers with their choice of henshin device name.
The Mecha looks a lot like RPM (Go-Onger) and Jungle Fury (Gekiranger) since they had the same core team colors.
Rumor: The two additional members could be white and green!
I’ve never really been a fan of teams starting out at 3, for some reason I love when a whole team of 5 start out together but hopefully there will be an interesting introduction to the 36th Team of Sentai Rangers.
