According to a Facebook post from long-time friend Sheryl Mandel, & Barbara Goodson (legendary voice of Rita Repulsa)
we sadly regret to write that our beloved Robert Axelrod has passed away Saturday, September 7th at the age of 70.
Robert was best known as the iconic voices of MANY characters throughout the Power Rangers Universe; most notably as the voice of Lord Zedd, Finster, Lokar of Mighty Morphin’ as well as many more memorable monster voices throughout the years.
Robert will also be remembered fondly for his work on Digimon as the voice of Armadillomon, Ankylomon, Wizardmon & many others.
In 2018 Robert underwent surgery on his back, however complications arose affecting his health which left him out of commission for many months. Dedicated Friends and Fans also created a fundraising page to help with medical bills which was unfortunately unable to make its goal.
We are sending his close friends and family the deepest of condolences.
This is a huge loss for Ranger Nation, Rest in Power Robert. 🙁
