Today marks the 20th Anniversary of the much-beloved Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Movie, and what other way than to celebrate with a blast from the past! Let’s flashback to Summer of 1995 and see what Bandai released in celebration of the MMPR Movie!
These shiny figures each came with a Power Blaster and a personalized Ninjetti Coin.
Bandai also released Deluxe Metallic figures for the movie!
Bandai released Deluxe figures of Ivan Ooze and both of his Ectomorphicons! Additionally, they released a normal 5″ figure of Ivan Ooze, as well as Mordant and a Tengu, but they got the standard packaging for the toys from the show, versus the movie packaging.
Collector’s Editions of these Mini 3″ figures were released as well, featuring the Rangers in both Ranger and Ninjetti form!
Of COURSE Bandai released Zords for the movie! Here we have the standard version of the Ninja Megafalcon Zord (oddly renamed, for some reason), which came with all 6 Zords and the Sword. The Deluxe versions, however, were sold separately.
20 YEARS LATER
Bandai releases awesome Legacy figures for the movie, complete with individual weapons, helmets & more! The detail on these figures are absolutely incredible! Bandai really did a great job on these.
But wait, THERE’S MORE!
Bandai even released a Legacy Movie Morpher, but only for Tommy, because us Power Rangers fans didn’t have enough Tommy merchandise already! Complete with a re-colored Legacy Power Morpher, and includes both the Tigerzord and Falconzord Power Coins!
