Amongst the mess that is Super Megaforce there are literally tons of missed opportunities. These articles may become a series but for now I am calling this article number one. One of the most absurd missed opportunities are among the Ranger Changes or Legendary Ranger Modes of one color.
It is baffling to me that these were skipped and while we did get the 3 Black Ranger Change, many were skipped over.
All “Silver” Change
I was actually rather shocked when this change wasn’t used. The Sentai footage during this episode would’ve flawlessly been interjected here.
Here we got RPM Silver, Wild Force Wolf Ranger, Mercury Overdrive, RoboKnight and a Female Silver Space Ranger.
I suppose I can understand why this wasn’t used given that RoboKnight was still missing at the time, but still. They made his Ranger Key work near the end anyways, so w hats the big deal?!
All Green Change
I am most sad about this one because it was one of the biggest thing I was looking forward to. The inclusion of other Sentai Teams would allow for the Female versions of ShiShiRanger and the Green Flashman. However, it looks like Saban didn’t enjoy the non-spandex Sentai teams and therefore we didn’t get this change. BUT, it would’ve been great!
All Pink Change
Of course we all knew that there was a snowball’s chance in hell that we would see an all pink team, but I would’ve loved to see it.
Another excuse? This change was a movie exclusive and the rights to the Gokaiger related movies weren’t purchased. Oh well.
How epic would it have been to see Troy in Pink MMPR Spandex!?
All Yellow Change
Another baffling change we didn’t get. None of the suits are gender bent and all of the teams have appeared in Power Rangers. However, it may have been because of the Yellow Goseiger that caused the trouble. Many of the changes seem to be dropped due to a Goseiger being present.
All Blue Change
This change was barely showcased on Gokaiger so it comes to no surprise that it was cut out. Still, an all Blue Change would’ve been easy to create with original footage.
All White Change
Another movie exclusive change and Big One is included. Again, understandable why it wasn’t used.
All “6th Ranger” Change
This was an epic change that was skipped because the continuity of Super Megaforce’s 6th Ranger keys not even being introduced yet.
Crap! I was so mad that this was skipped, I mean how cool is it? Especially since the beloved Green Ranger was in it!
Extra Hero Change
So sad. Another awesome moment taken from us. Extra Heroes are not considered 6th Rangers so these were given their own change. Cat Ranger, Blue Senturian, Red Wolf Warrior, Magna Defender and Sentinel Knight were left out in the cold!
Secondary Red Ranger Changes
Why weren’t there more Red Ranger team changes? Am I the only one who finds it strange that we only got that one change of one color?
There are many other changes that we can get into later but I figured it was important to show that this important milestone in the Sentai was not included in Super Megaforce. Super Megaforce is a mess of missed opportunities and in the course of these articles I hope to point more of them out!
