Yudou Breaker

It’s Gaim for ToQ Thoughts! This time I’m taking a look at ToQ 6’s Yudou Breaker, the sidearm of ToQ 6 and signal wand for the Rainbow Line.

The Yudou Breaker is the typical Sentai sword toy. It has a nice solid feel to it, and very cool light effects, but it is very typical. It has two slashing sounds when the trigger is pulled, a sound when a Ressha is inserted, a charge up sound and a special attack sound. Pretty standard in Sentai swords. The Ressha chamber is kind of like the Zyudenchi chamber from the Gaburi Caliber from Kyoryuger, in that a slot opens up to insert the Ressha, and then closes to load it.

It comes with ToQ 6’s Drill Ressha, and just like the Applichanger, it does not read individual Ressha. The same special attack sounds will play no matter what Ressha is used with the Yudou Breaker. The orange signal blade on the Yudou Breaker is the best part of this toy, as the multiple LEDs are programmed for alternate light patterns depending on the feature used. One complaint I have with the LEDs though is that they only light up one side of the wand, the other side remains unlit when used. I also wish that I could just turn the wand portion on like a flashlight and use the Yudou Breaker like a traditional signal wand, much like Akira does when working on the Rainbow Line in the show. I do like the Yudou Breaker, but it is predictable, it does everything you’d expect from a Sentai weapon, and nothing more.

Did you pick up the Yudo Breaker, and if so how do you like it? Let us know!
