We begin today’s episode with Ticket and Mr. Conductor discussing Zaram’s performance last time. Hikari does not trust this new ho though. Word.

At the Dark Line base, Zed is interested in Schwarz’s Shadow monster that turned his back on the Dark Line. How can one go from darkness to shining? A true life question.
We meet today’s Shadow Monster, Ring Shadow, who puts gold headbands on people with their name on it which gives them migraines when someone says their names. And his body is jewels. So that makes since?
The ToQgers arrive and morph. In the battle, Ring Shadow puts a gold headband on Zaram, but apparently has forsaken this name so it doesn’t hurt him.
Zed arrives and attacks Right & Zaram with dark energy, which turns Zaram into his mosnter form. Zed asks the age old question, “Where art thou shining?” for the millionth time.
The other ToQgers scream out Zaram’s name in worry, which hurts him due to his monster form now. Love this.
I like that Zed is still pondering in a rain storm. Zed kidnaps Right on a darkliner.
Hikari and Zaram talk, and it seems that Hikari will throw doubt to the wind because of the others’ love for him. During this, Zed tries to get Zaram’s change of heart story from Right, but he won’t budge. Zaram finally finds Zed and Right, and shit getting real.
Ring Shadow says Right’s name to hurt him, but it doesn’t effect him, because according to Right, “RIGHT ISN’T MY NAME.” FOR REAL THOUGH?!
JK Right is his name, he just hid his hurt so the headband would break. The rest of the ToQgers show up and use a Coupling Bazooka Rainbow Finish on Zaram…. But it just creates a rainbow! The team names him Nijino Akira, meaning “vivid rainbow.” This new name sets him free from the gold headband of pain. Zed has a weird moment with the rainbow and faints. Hmmmmm.

I like that he makes a 6 on his hand. haha
The team of 6 destroy the Crows and Akira uses his Yudo Breaker and Drill Ressha to send Ring Shadow a packing. I find it interesting that the show doesn’t give the attack a name…..
ToQ-Oh is losing to giant Ring Shadow, but never fear, Akira calls upon a giant Drill Ressha to spin Ring Shadow in the butt! We all got to see his first gay experience! What a treat.
The Drill Ressha attaches to ToQ-Oh for a nice combo attack, Drill Tornado!
After the giant battle, Akira walks off into the sunset. To start the Showcase Corner, the team tries to morph and Right hits Tokatti! I FEEL VERY ATTACKED.
Next week we get Build Dai-Oh!! EXCITING.
Review
A pretty great episode all around! I enjoyed the new addition to the role call and Akira’s character growth with the team. I’m also really interested in what happens to Zed and his shining fetish. Also guys, we haven’t heard about Grita’s creepy stalking of Schwarz in awhile. CRAZY. I’m also excited for next week’s episode, new mecha is fun!! A solid 8 out of 10 this week!
