Ressha Sentai ToQger: Station 9 Review

TOOT-TOOT RESSHA SENTAI TOQGER. Let’s go! Today’s episode is entitled: “Love Is A One Way Ticket.”

On today’s episode, the ToQgers switch to the Support Diesel-Tank-Car Carrier trains due to repairs on the usual 1-5 ressha. The team is excited for the change up because it feels like a vacation. If they only knew.

Once they enter the town, the team goes to the museum and Right runs too far ahead from the group. Mio puts him in his place.

At the Shadow Line base, Baron Nero speaks to his new monster, Marionette Shadow. More dark energy for the Emperors’ eminent coming!

In the town, Right and Mio enter a couples race to win all-you-can-eat dumplings. lol

They lose to a cute couple because Mio does not like lovey dovey crap.

Suddenly Crows appear and the team transforms except Mio who gets cut off from the group but is saved by the man from the race. Mio is in love at first sight, but it makes her feel uncomfortable. She also finds his wallet on the ground.

Mio stares at the wallet longingly…..

WAGON SEES THE PASSIONATE GAZE. She wants all the t about this man. Wagon is so thirsty for men, she’s practically dehydrated.

Crows begin to attack women who are then saved by men. The women fall in love at first sight.

Wagon calls Mio’s guy and Mio challenges him to a duel??! Anything like dating, etc makes her extremely uncomfortable. She begins to train for the duel, but her thoughts keep coming back to the guy…. She makes him a cute box of food….

As Mio walks to meet him, Marionette Shadow shoots puppet strings out of his weapons to cause the men to turn angry at the women.

The men yell at the women and break things causing the girls to cry and become sad. The dark energy being collected is unrequited love/heartbreak. This is literally the most sadistic monster ever.

Mio never cries or becomes angry because of her tough skin to heartbreak. I’m guessing she’s been stood-up or heartbroken many times in her past. THIS PLOT LITERALLY KILLS ME. Also, the monster’s puppet attack is terrifying.

Mio transforms and goes ape shit on Marionette Shadow. The special Coupling Bazooka finishing attack this week is “Present Payback.” A giant onigiri falls from the sky and destroys the monster. Wonderful.

Because the normal ressha are out for repairs, the teams calls upon the Support trains to combine! Diesel-Oh is online!

Right controls from the Diesel train, Tokatti & Hikari from the Tank, and Mio & Kagura from the Car Carrier. Also, this mecha combo doesn’t have any weapons, just brute strength. Lolz at Bandai of Japan.

Marionette tries to puppeteer Diesel-Oh, but with it’s brute strength breaks free. The final attack is the Diesel-Oh Spin Kick! It kicks the monster and it blows up. Wow. Mind blowing. haha

Review

So the plot today was hella depressing; I am so sad that Mio feels like this/has a bad past with love. I would like some flashbacks again so we can learn what happened in their past, because something bad happened for sure. The episode was pretty simple and had to spend developing love plots since that was the monster’s theme, which takes time. Diesel-Oh is nothing special either. Can’t wait till it combines with ToQ-Oh! I give this episode a 6 out of 10 since it’s pretty plain.

Until next time, this has been SimplyScott1/PowerSentai. Stay imaginative!
