Ressha Sentai ToQger: Station 6 Review

TOOT-TOOT RESSHA SENTAI TOQGER. Let’s go! Today’s episode is entitled: “What Are You Looking For?”

We begin today’s episode with Mr. Conductor hurrying the team along to find the ToQ-Tank!

As the team goes in circles in the forest to find the ressha that Right saw last episode, Crows move a string Hikari tied to a tree to keep them from finding the train. As the team becomes even more lost, the group spirals into a leader conversation.

Right doesn’t care if he’s the leader or not. (Note: His lethargic leading skills are semi-annoying to me at this point, but he has a pretty face, so I’ll let it slide for now….haha). This causes Tokatti to fall into deep thought about being the team’s new leader.

During this existential crisis, General Schwarz shows up to find the ToQ-Tank so he can add it to his dark train fleet. He reveals that he found out about the missing train from his rose petal listening device that was stuck on the side of the Red Ressha.

This bitch does not play around. His swift sword skills badly hurts the team to the point of demorphing.

Schwarz pins Right to the ground with his foot and is about to murder him, literally, when Tokatti saves him. Conversely, this causes Tokatti to become captured by General Schwarz with a knife to his throat. To save Tokatti, Right begins to lead Schwarz to the tank train.

During their ascent to the train, Tokatti falls to the ground and starts crying because he thinks he’s a lousy leader. The Crows physically assault Tokatti, but Right gets them to stop by threatening a large battle with Schwarz later. [Odd plot writing here.]

As Right, Tokatti, and Schwarz continue their trek to the tank, Kagura, Hikari, and Mio remember that Right saw the train close to baby bamboo shoots. Schwarz realizes that Right has lead them to the correct spot and is about to kill Right when Tokatti helps him dodge the attack. Right and Tokatti become free right when the Tank ressha blasts out from the ground.

Kagura, Mio, and Hikari found the tank first!

Something tells me Hikari (ToQ4-Green) will become more of the main leader for the group eventually….

Right and Tokatti transform and use some pretty ghetto teamwork to fight off the Crows. haha Eventually they use the Scope Express to destroy the Crows.

After this, Schwarz begins to attack the Tank train with his Darkliner. Right uses his Red Ressha to push between the two to stop Schwarz from attacking. Ticket creepily appears to explain to Right and Tokatti that they must get an infusion of power from the Tank train to derail General Schwarz.

Eventually they are successful in connecting and push Schwarz off the tracks.

Suddenly the Darkliner TRANSFORMS INTO DARKLINER ROBO. I’M GOING TO NEED THIS MECHA ASAP.

The team combines into ToQ-Oh and use the Express Armament attachment (ToQ-Oh Tank) to fight off Schwarz.

DO YOU SEE  THE ARTICULATION.

HIS COCKPIT IS BASICALLY A BEAUTY AND THE BEAST SCENE.

Okay enough fangirling. The ToQgers use the Tank’s final attack, Tank Uppercut, to destroy General Schwarz’s Robo.

Schwarz sulks back to the base and touches Grita after her own fangirling. I think Grita orgasimed or something when it happened. Please make it stop. hahaha

Back on the Rainbow Line, Right crushes General Schwarz’s eavesdropping rose petal and they decide what leaders each of them are on the team. Right is the lunch leader, Hikari is the shadow leader, Tokatti is the support leader, Mio is the nagging leader, and Kagura is the pretending leader. I think Kagura is more of a Supergirl leader, but nbd (no big deal).

Mio overhears this and starts yelling at them. Perfect.

At the end we are left with shots of Kyoryuger’s Gabutyra TURNING INTO A FUCKING TRAIN as well as other shots from the upcoming Sentai/Kamen Rider crossover Spring Break episode.

I think I might cry during it because I’ve been watching Kamen Rider Gaim and having all of this funny goodness in one room is going to kill me. Next week is going to slay.

Review

I really enjoyed this Tokatti and Right themed episode as well as the crazy moments General Schwarz gave us with such examples as the DARKLINER ROBO, sword skills, and murder-ish tendencies. The only thing that irked me about today’s episode was Right’s meh-ness to being a leader. I mean, bitch come on. I know this is character development, but an annoying, immature Red is kind of grinding after awhile. Plus we all know how I feel about Grita’s plot. haha Overall, a strong episode, but next week will basically kill me, so 6.5 out of 10. lol

Until next time, this has been SimplyScott1/PowerSentai. Stay imaginative!
