Let’s breakdown Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 38 – “Love Touch! The Paramonster Who Was Too Beautiful”
Today we find that Chaos still cannot create new Debo monsters due to a lack of energy. Candelira and Dogold have a fabulous plan up their sleeves it appears…
Tessai has still not fully recovered his energy and might give his power up to someone new.
We then find King searching for Amy, who runs into Tessai.
We then find that Amy is meeting Shinya, the “Aoyagi” manga writer and one of Tessai’s descendants, on a date. And who could possibly wield the ancestral grey power.
This reaction picture is everything.
We find the team at a lunch with Shinya who is explaining that he hides his gender so his readers do not know a man is writing a “girly” manga, which infuriates Tessai.
We also find out that Torin is a manga lover as well. God love the Kyoryu leader.
Shinya then asks if Amy will dress up as “Aoyagi” (the manga is supposed to be named after the girl character who is the writer of the book) for a loyal fan.
Tessai does not like this gender thing. And it’s fantastic.
This weeks Debo of the week takes the color from people’s faces and makes them ugly. YES.
And her name is Beautiful Paramonster. Fabulous.
And the other paramonsters worship her so they fight harder. Also, she looks like the Joker me….. Moving on….
Utchy, Souji, and Nossan get marked and zapped of their energy, but quickly get it back after destroying the powerful paramonsters.
Amy enters the fan’s house and it happens to be Luckiero. hahahah Amy tries to explain that if the Debo legion ends the world, there will no longer be any manga. This troubles Luckeiro.
Back to Shinya, Tessai is stalking him. OH MY!
Shinya saves a girl in distress just as the other Kyoryugers show up. We learn that Shinya started drawing Aoyagi for his rugby coaches to cheer them up and is based on them.
The Kyoryugers begin to fight Beautiful Paramonster and this happened. WOW.
Shinya’s bravery awakens Tessai’s dormant energy so he transforms into KyoryuGrey!
During the fight, BEAUTIFUL PARA SUMMONS FULL MAE UP POWER. AND HAS A SEQUENCE. JUST LIKE SAILOR MOON. I STRAIGHT UP DIED.
Sadly, KyoryuCarnival spoils all the fun and destroys the beauty. Dogold wants to grow BeautyPara, but where is Luckiero? Luckeiro phones it in. Wonderful.
WHAT.
The Kyoryugers call upon Gigant Bragioh and Pteraidenoh Dricera and destroy the fabulous monster. This week’s Kamen Rider Gaim with Bravo and this episode of Kyoryuger WENT THERE.
Finally, Tessai wants to show Shinya another lesson, but the team stops him because they want more mangas. Just like Luckiero who writes Aoyagi a semi-nice fan letter. I love Luckiero.
Review
Overall, I loved the monster. Sexual, fabulous, gay, and a Sailor Moon gag. The manga stuff was fun, but I could really care less about Tessai’s issues. lol BUT WHAT ABOUT YAYOI. WHERE SHE GO? That will always be my greatest critique of this series: how they pretty much blew Yayoi’s character after they introduced her due to the King-centric theme. I’m curious how the next 11 episodes will go. We’re in the home stretch and I’m expecting the fun episodes to go away again and for the pace to pick-up, but I’m hoping it’s with character development. Like Debo commander flashbacks or something. Anyways, pretty good episode. 7.5/10.
