Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 23 Review

Let’s breakdown Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 23 – “Rise! Rocket Kyoryuzin”

After last week’s cliff hanger, we are back in the action with King single handedly operating Kyoryuzin Kung Fu against Deboss.

King musters all his bravery and scares/confuses Deboss to start attacking his own minions.

Chaos explains that Deboss started attacking his own generals because he was created prematurely without the full amount of human emotion.

Luckyuuro explaining things is always enjoyable.

Luckyuuro uses a slingshot and a orb (Shrinky Blink Ball lol) to absorb the regenerative water that was used to make Deboss grow in the first place.

Chaos goes on to say that Deboss attacked them because his destructive heart wasn’t thawed yet.

Torin shows King that the Voltasaurs are hibernating in the base along with the team to reenergize. One thing that is not explained is why Torin’s wings are now stone, other than King saying that Torin had to use a lot of energy to bring every one to the base. Odd.

That’s probably why I didn’t like the last episode…. hahahah

We learn that Plezuon saved Yayoi, while still being pinned under debris in the underwater base.

King shows up to save Yayoi from the DeboLegion by using Pukuptor to turn them into balloons.

Oh Nossan….

I so agree with Amy it’s unreal.

Anyways, Gabutyra holds Deboss back while Yayoi tries to free Plezuon and the Kyoryugers fight the DeboLegion on the beach.

Yayoi has a weird mental breakdown and essentially prays to King for power/bravery to release Plezuon. Yeah, that happened.

Plezu-oh comes to save the Kyoryugers while the rest are confused on the beach.

Rocket Kyoryuzin is just an amazing mess. I mean, it’s beautiful. RocketK sends Deboss into the sky. Unlucky.

Then King and Yayoi embrace in the mecha cockpit. So precious.

Review

This week’s episode is the midway turning point in terms of the story for Kyoryuger. A new mecha semi defeats the boss and we have a cute sweeping ending. This episode was kind of okay for me? I don’t necessarily like Yayoi’s acting and story, but I do appreciate that we’re getting another female kyoryuger and 7 full time Kyoryugers (the only other team that had 7 full time was Go-Onger). Overall the episode was good and action packed, 7/10.

NEXT WEEK

WE GET A NEW CONSTANT FEMALE KYORYUGER. 7. AHHHH.

Until next time, this has been SimplyScott1. Stay Brave!
