Let’s breakdown Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 20 – “Unlucky! Tanabata turns better!”
I’m pretty sure the monsters of this season rank up there with with Carranger/Turbo for WTF factor. This episode delivers too with Tanabata the Japanese holiday wish maker. Power Rangers can use like 3 monsters from this sentai season so far. haha
Anyways, Tanabanta sends pieces of paper around the city and even the Kyoryugers write wishes on them.
Except King, who doesn’t write one and doesn’t tell his friends that his real wish is to see his Dad again.

Amy’s wish of making a good grade and Souji’s wish of a new sword come true! But the wish coming true comes with a cost: Debo Tanabata takes their lucky energy and leaves them weak!
Then Ian’s wish of finding a new fossil comes true, but knows this comes with a cost after Torin warned them.
Luckiero, Tanabata, and Candelira take pride in their warped holiday luck monster.
Utchy, King, and Nossan take on the Debos, but Tanabata runs away to store energy.
Ramirez fulfills Utchy’s wish and shows up with ice cream. From Belguim. lolololol
Torin makes a joke that Nossan will be okay because his wish was outlandish. hahahaha
Nossan’s wish was to have ladies touch him. Ian’s response was masterful.
Then it comes true. hahahaha
King attacks Tanabata on the roof to destroy the wishes and return everyones strength before they die.
Candelira’s attack is just bliss.
King destroys Tanabata’s wish holder after his Dad appears.
King’s Dad does not have time for BS. He tells King to keep walking with the great dinosaurs and gives him new energy to keep on fighting.
The brave Kyroyuger team destroys Tanabata easily.
They form Kyoryuzin Kung Fu along with Pteragordon and destroy giant Tanabata quickly again,
Torin then comes back with a bag of coins/jewels/crystals that King’s Dad gave him which King realizes means that Torin might of talked to his Dad as well.
Review
I’m not gonna lie, I’ve fallen in love with Ian. His hair, jokes, and personality just make me giddy. I really enjoyed today’s DeboOfTheWeek and thought the storyline was pretty interesting and funny as well. Just a wonderful normal episode that keeps pushing me to love Kyoryuger more and more each week.
