RangerCrew and SamuraiCast Blog confirmed today that YES, the Gokaiger Pirate suits will be used in Power Rangers Super Megaforce!
RangerCrew reports that the suits will be used as a “Super Mode” in conjunction with the current (Goseiger) Megaforce Suits!
From Normal Megaforce Mode then morphin to the unnamed (Super/Pirate Mode)
The Rangers will then have the ability to transform in the former Power Rangers to match footage from the Sentai.
The Black Ranger will go into Super Mode as the Green Ranger.
It has not been confirmed what the names of the new morphers, names of modes, how the Rangers will morph into past seasons (i.e. Ranger Keys or not) or how GokaiSilver will be included.
My thoughts? I think this is actually doable! I mean the Green Ranger has to use both Black and Green Keys to morph into past Rangers anyways and this makes sense. I am not sure if Noah and his GokaiBlue counterpart match, and the same can be said for Jake and GokaiGreen, but this has been done in the past. A serious Sentai can be a funny Power Ranger! Let’s not freak out, it is workable! Now, let’s hope that Troy can live up to his Captain Marvelous counterpart (who was beyond badass).
In regards to the themes being different and the Rangers of the Sentai having different mannerisms can be said for MMPR as well! Even though the same suits were worn look what they did with Kakuranger and MMPR Season 3’s Alien Rangers!
I hope they use the Gosei Morpher to somehow become a Mobirates, or I even had the idea of there being a Mobirates card that is used so that the Rangers can use their Ranger Keys! Ideas! Ideas! But all in all it can be worked out for a great show!
