Super Robot Chogokin Megazord Review!

After the first images of Tamashii Nations Super Robot Chogokin Megazord were released I knew I had to have one! If you like the Retrofire series from Bandai America then you will absolutely LOVE this series from the makers of the Super Sentai Figuarts. There are many more Megazords/Mecha planned to be released in 2013, I received the first in the mail today!

Above was the picture of the front of the box the Megazord was in; this image is of the back which highlights the many different poses that the Megazord can be styled in!

One thing I noticed was a tiny sticker placed on the front of the packaging! I saw this same image earlier this week on my Morph Suit packaging. It is under the Mighty Morphin’ Logo and says “Celebrating 20 Years”. This logo is different from the Power Rangers 20 Logo we have seen on a lot of the upcoming products. I think this logo is exclusively on MMPR products being released and not for the series as a whole.

Upon opening the box you can see all of the accessories that come with the Megazord. The Megazord comes in whole and does not seperate into individual Zords. He has the Power Sword underneath the customizing sheath of lightning. Below that is the Mastodon head that works as a shield. The Megazord also comes with interchangeable hands that allow him to hold his sword and shield or widen his fingers. The hands that come already attached are closed hands and cannot carry items.  One final accessory is a bit of blue and pink lightning that can be attached to its head!

Now I am the most inept person when it comes to posing Figuarts, Megazords or even regular figures in general. I just suck at it so hard, if you were to look at my collection all of the figures are just standing up with their swords or weapons and just look not that cool. So, excuse this picture if it is kind of lame, all I did was pose the Megazord with his sword of lightning and the Mastodon head shield!

Where to buy: You can go to the Bluefin Tamashii Nations website if you click here, where they list the price at $60.99
I actually bought mine on Amazon for $52.99 with Free Shipping, it’s also available on Ebay for a little higher price.
I also saw it on CStoys !

Final Comments:
I completely love this  Megazord, its made in very high quality and painted in great detail! The Megazord itself could be made of die-cast because it feels rather metallic and is quite heavier than expected. Its poseability is pretty awesome and could be posed in many different action scenes! Again, I am so bad at this so I wasn’t able to take many pictures. But I know if you were to get your hands on this awesome collectible you could pose it to your hearts desire. This is one of my favorite purchases in the 20th Anniversary line-up so far and I highly recommend it to the Power  Ranger collector. I definitely want to purchase the other Megazords if and when they become available in the US!
