If you follow this blog/site religiously you know that I despise MegaBloks and never report on them because I hate them.
However, there are new MegaForce MegaBloks being released; for a full report on them please visit RangerCrew who supplied the scoop and the images!
This first toy which is a Zord for the Red Ranger is listed on Amazon as
“Dragon Mechazord”
This is a new name for the Power Rangers fandom and seems to be the operative name for the indivudual Ranger Zords.
For instance, Snaze Mechazord or Shark Mechazord
I like this new change, its different! For MegaForce I would like to see the older nostalgia AND something different and new!
Amazon also has the Megazord listed as Gosei Great Megazord which so far had been the rumored name for the new Megazord. It was even shown with that name at Morphicon! However, the website lists them with that name but the disclaimer on all the images say the “Product image is subject to change.”
Take that anyway you’d like!
Personally, I kind of like that they are keeping the Sentai name. If you think about it, the Zords were named after Zordon (or so I believe) and since the Zordon-like Mentor’s name is Gosei, it would make sense that his name is included. Very 20th Anniversary!
This set also names the 6th Ranger as Robo Knight which again was a rumored name first heard from RangerCrew.
I was a little dissappointed because this may mean that Robo Knight has no human counterpart.
But there’s still much to be revealed in the coming months!
