The Power Rangers Don’t Hate

I wanted to take some time and mention this because it has been bothering me for quite a few days. I wanted to dedicate this tiny blog posting, taking one second away from Power Rangers, and reflect on the recent Gay Teen Suicides plaguing our nation.
One thing that has always been great to me about the Power Rangers is that they stand for friendship and teamwork, something that everyday life has left out most of the time. The Rangers don’t care if your Black, White, Asian, Poor, Gay, Catholic, A Jew, or even a fish headed alien from Aquitar. That is what is truly inspiring about the Power Rangers.
Whether some people support this program or not, I believe the “It Gets Better” campaign is but a tiny light for these kids who may not have know about such programs. It is very hard growing up Gay and confused. Especially when there is no one to talk to, no one to turn to and the entire world seems like they hate you.
It might not be a guarantee that your life will turn out fantastic, because in life there are no guarantees of anything. But there is always hope and a belief in yourself is the strongest beliefe that you can have.
If anyone reading this, Ranger fan or not, is having a hard time coming to terms with who they are and are scared and alone, please do not hesitate to contact The Trevor Project or someone to talk to. Having someone to cry to can be the most soothing thing, and can make you remember the true goodness in people.
Please contact them if you need them, or send ME an email and we can talk about anything, anytime. I’ve been there, and it CAN get better.
