Come on! Everyone remembers the power coins! The ancient coins that gave the Mighty Morphin Rangers the power to morph in super heroes! Given to the original 5 Rangers by Zordon in Episode 1. The power coins gave them the power to call upon their ancient dinosaur spirits.
Above (clockwise) are the coins for the Dragonzord, Tyrannosaurus, Pterodactyl, Saber Tooth Tiger, Triceratops and Mastodon coins.When the Green Ranger’s powers were destroyed, Tommy was given the power of the White Ranger and the white tiger power coin. The Mastodon, Saber Tooth Tiger & Tyrannosaurus coins would switch hands from Jason, Trini & Zack to Rocky, Aisha and Adam. Later, the Pink power coin would be passed from Kimberly to Kat.
In the movie & 3rd season the Rangers powers and coins were destroyed and replaced with six new coins and animals. Billy was the Wolf, Tommy the Falcon, Adam the Frog, Kimberly (and Later Katherine) the Crane, Rocky the Ape and Aisha the Bear.
During the 3rd season’s finale, the Power coins were destroyed “once and for all” by Goldar. However, other former Rangers would use these sames coins once more in future episodes…..hmm……
