The official Power Rangers website has released production still and Character Bios for the upcoming season, Power Rangers Dino Fury.
Power Rangers Dino Fury is set to premiere on Nickelodeon some time this year.
Character Bios
Zayto – Red Dino Fury Ranger
Played By: Russell Curry
Zayto is an alien from the planet Rafkon. He has been on Earth since the time of the dinosaurs, frozen in stasis. After he is revived, he leads the Dino Fury Power Rangers in the hopes of stopping the evil forces that destroyed his planet from destroying Earth.
Note: A Production still shows Zatyo with antenna, which I’m sure will be camouflaged most of the time.
Ollie Akana – Blue Dino Fury Ranger
Played By: Kai Moya
Ollie is a confident, logical skeptic who’s never afraid to share his opinion and always needs to prove he’s right. Growing up, he traveled the globe with his archaeologist mom, Dr. Akana. Ollie doesn’t believe that there’s anything that can’t be proven or explained by science.
Amelia Jones – Pink Dino Fury Ranger
Played By: Hunter Deno
A go-getting journalist with a passion for the paranormal, Amelia works at the internet media agency, BuzzBlast. She’s well known in Pine Ridge as the person you come to if anything “weird” happens. Her enthusiasm seeps into everything she does, much to the amusement of her friends and coworkers.
Javi Garcia – Black Dino Fury Ranger
Played By: Chance Perez
Javi is a free-spirited musician who can be quiet at times, focusing his energy on his creative process and artistic endeavors. Though he loves music, he can’t settle on any one style or instrument. His step-sister, Izzy, is his biggest supporter and the most important person in his life.
Note: Both Chance Perez & Javi being musicians will hopefully give us some original song.
Izzy Garcia – Green Dino Fury Ranger
Played By: Tessa Rao
Izzy is a highly competitive and ambitious athlete. She pushes herself to the limits and never gives up, even when the stress is overwhelming. She’s close with her step-brother, Javi.
Void Knight
Void Knight is an armored alien warlord who crashed on Earth many years ago. He is intent on using the power of the super-charged Sporix for his own personal benefit.
Note: Making the Gaisorg armor from Ryusoulger the main villain is interesting. I’m sure connections will sprout as the season progresses considering he uses the same sword the rangers use.
Boomtower
Boomtower is Void Knight’s monster general, a brutal fighter.
Production Stills Highlights
Mick Kanic’s Returns
The legendary Kelson Henderson will be returning to Power Rangers once again to play Mick Kanic, the shapeshifting mentor from Power Rangers Ninja Steel. No word yet as to what his role for the season will be at this time.
Dinosaur Alien
Thanks to Production Stills, it was revealed that Dino Fury will have an original character whose name is unknown at this time.
Will he be the mentor?
Will he be tech support?
Will he be comic relief?
Base
The Dino Fury Base seems to be a spaceship that gives off shades of the Warrior Dome from Ninja Steel and Grid Battleforce HQ from Beast Morphers.
Dino Fury Villain
A Production Still has confirmed that Ryusoulger villain, Wizrue will be used in some capacity.
Group Shot Fashion
Power Rangers has always prided itself in dressing the team in clothes that are popular to a teen/young adult demographic, which for 2021 is a combination of tight, form fitting clothing (Zayto & Ollie) and 90s aesthetic clothing (Javi & Izzy).
