Many fans can agree that we were baffled when Sentai suits began appearing in Super Megaforce. At first it was wonder and then speculatory emotions of what this could all mean. As time went on and more and more things were left out of the series, the Sentai suits lost their luster. I for one was a little angry that many Sentai Teams appear several times during the show and yet MANY changes were left out! Including one team being left completely out of everything but the Legendary Battle.
3 Teams were left out of a full change, 6th Ranger Keys were left at the wayside, Only 1 Extra Hero was used & epic scenes and changes were glossed over!
In the second part of my series let’s take a look at what other missed opportunities from Super Megaforce.
Unused Full Team Morphs
In Space
Power Rangers in Space got one singular change and a duo change during Super Megaforce. Orion and Troy use the Red and Silver Keys while Gia used the Yellow Key earlier in the series.
While we got a cameo from the Blue and Pink Space Rangers (Selwyn Ward & Patricia Ja Lee) there was never a full team change included in the series. Who knows why.
Lightspeed Rescue
A cameo from the Pink and Red Lightspeed Rangers (Alison MacInnis & Sean CW Johnson) may have been a reason for this skip but nonetheless the Lightspeed Keys were never used period. This is baffling.
How is it possible that an entire Team of Ranger Keys were left out?
Lightspeed Rescue seems to be one of the most left out Series, besides what occurs in the Legendary Battle.
Again, this would be the perfect time to fly you first Original US Ranger, Rhett Fisher, and bring him in for a tribute episode where his Titanium Ranger Key is used. Sadly, there was no love for any of the US original Rangers including a very insulting omission of Ryan’s visor.
Time Force
Again, we had a cameo from Jason Faunt, the Red Time Force Ranger and yet we didn’t get a full team change.
Emma used the Pink Key once but after that we never saw Time Force again!
I know we all would’ve loved to see Orion as the Quantum Ranger 🙁
Operation Overdrive
I almost completely forgot that Operation Overdrive didn’t get a full team change either! Jake & Troy used the Red Key once but the powers were never seen from again.
Being one of the most hated seasons, I doubt anyone missed this tribute.
Lion Change
This change would probably make no sense here on US Television but I always thought this was a cute change.
Each Ranger has morphed using the Ranger Keys of Rangers who were powered by the Lion!
Team-Up Pink Ranger Episode
I am never one to suggest that Emma needed more focus because she didn’t. I have never seen so much focus on such a sub-par Pink Ranger.
But I digress, one of the sequences in Gokaiger included an episode where Ahim/GokaiPink confronts the villain who had a hand in the destruction of her home planet. This episode, Episode 41, made Ahim so badass to the viewer on a character who was very meek throughout the season.
To combat her foe Ahim uses a series of Gokai Changes, joined with her comrades, which again made for a great episode!
All of these changes are totally useful! Here’s a breakdown of what we didn’t get!
RPM Change – Orion (Gold) & Emma (Silver)
The Gold and Silver RPM Rangers never appear separately outside of the hybrid key.
Ninja Storm – Thunder Ranger Change: Jake (Crimson) & Emma (Navy)
This change was used before so it is perfectly usable.
Megaforce – Emma and Gia
Either it makes senses to keep it or it leaves the ability to film something new!
They could’ve used MMPR Yellow and Pink FFS!
SPD – Shadow Ranger (Noah) & Cat Ranger (Emma)
Because these Rangers are considered Extra Heroes we never got to see even one change from either of them. This episode could’ve showcased many of the keys we never see.
Samurai – Female Red (Emma) & Male Red (Troy)
How cool would it have been to see both Red Samurai Rangers fight together? Something we will probably never see.
Sixth Ranger Keys
Of all the 6th Ranger Keys only a few were actually used.
Green & White MMPR, Gold Zeo, Silver Space, Gold/Silver RPM Combo, Gold Samurai and White Dino Thunder Rangers>

Extra Heroes
Only 1 “Extra Hero” Key was used during Super Megaforce.
Orion used the Red Wolf Warrior Key, then that was it.
