TOOT-TOOT RESSHA SENTAI TOQGER. Let’s go! Today’s episode is entitled: “Beyond the Junction”
We start off today’s episode with the team researching their old town, “Pleiades’ Shore,” and no one will pay attention to Wagon!
The town has been swallowed by darkness and can’t be found anymore….
Towns with people giving off darkness due to a Shadow Line monster can be stopped like we’ve seen, but when entirely engulfed by darkness, the town can only be reached by the Shadow Line….
But Akira has a plan. There are junction boxes only Shadow Line trains can detect that take them to “other” worlds. Akira wants to find the junction boxes and take the Drill Ressha into them.
Baron Nero sides with Zed that consuming light and darkness will allow Zed to control everything.
But then Madame Noire appears and tries to shank Zed. JK He stops her and she commits herself to him. For now.
They go into a junction box shadow line portal, but they don’t know which town they might happen in since the boxes are random.
The Shadow Line detects the Rainbow Line and Baron Nero is pissed. In Zed’s reflection, Grita can be seen….
They walk the town and find people frozen in time. LOL TOKATTI.
A Shadow Line Overseer attacks them and the team transforms, but their powers go away.
They realize that the Rainbow Line energies cannot last more than 30 seconds in a fully engulfed Shadow Line town.
Kagura, Hikari, Tokatti, and Mio take on Crows and give Right their ressha so he can harness each power for 30 seconds to beat the Overseer.
Right uses each Ressha and is able to call upon the Coupling Bazooka by himself to destroy the Overseer for good!
But wait! While Akira is fighting Baron Nero by the junction box, the town suddenly appears in the real world and the Overseer grows.
They call upon Super ToQ-Oh and Build Dai-Oh to take on the Overseer. Crows come out of his castle lance to make him grow even more! (PS That’s what he said)
SO BIG. They then combine into Super Duper ToQ Dai-Oh to destroy the lance and make him normal-mega size again. haha
The town’s people unfreeze and the ToQgers have saved a whole town from darkness! Maybe they can do that to theirs one day!
Review
I loved this episode. It explained a lot about the junction boxes, fully dark towns, and how they might save their own town one day. I really liked the Overseer’s suit in this episode, as well as the Shadow Line’s internal issues. A great all around episode! I give this an 8 out of 10 for being everything I love about ToQger – witty, kid friendly, and complex. It would be a shame if Saban skipped this season.
Until next time, this has been SimplyScott1/PowerSentai. Stay imaginative!
