Power Morphicon was an amazing event not only for the actors and panels but for Bandai’s second reveal of the Dino Charge Toys and the Legacy Line!
Bandai America reps tell us that the “Dricera” aka Triceratops was finally changed back to it’s original Sentai color because of the fan backlash at the color change from Pink to Indigo! Finally the fans were heard! Aside from that, there were amazing new toys on display check them out below the jump!
Above you can see the images of the new Dino Charge toys expected in Late 2014 to precede the Premiere in Early 2015!
Here are my thoughts on each of the new items:
Dino Charge Megazord: While the Megazord is a simplified version of the Kyoryujin from Kyoryuger. It appears that the Stegosaurus’ functions as both a shield and a sword instead of transforming into one or the other! Interesting. I didn’t see Zord Builder ports or pegs like the Legendary Megazord but I am sure that they are in there somehow. The size is completely dwarfed from the original Kyoryjin but once again it makes sense for the price point and for the comparison to other toys since 2010. As I’ve said before I am very happy that the Triceratops is back to being pink!
Dino Charge Saber and Dino Charger Morpher: The saber actually looks really cool! Bandai has succeeded in delivered two awesome sabers so far, one from Super Megaforce and one from Dino Charge! I hope this is a continuing trend in future seasons! The morpher/blaster also known as the Gaburevolver has everything we predicted: it doesn’t open, has a fixed trigger on the back and has the standard orange tips. It looks decent enough but we will have to wait and see what the toy actually does before making a judgement.
Dino Chargers & Dinosaur Mini Zords: Bandai tells us that these mini zords will be packaged with the Dino Chargers and sold in packs! This is a great idea and will make the batteries sell a lot better in the future! Kudos to Bandai for this decision and I look forward to owning all these Dino Cuties!
Dino Charge Ranger Figures: I have heard a lot of complaining about these figures and I am honestly confused as to why. As soon as Samurai and Megaforce got figures they’ve all been the basic idea with the only exception being the scale change during Super Megaforce. These figures look beautifully detailed with paint and shoulder details being added fantastically. Each comes with a Saber and Blaster/Morpher in one shade of yellow!
I also noticed the amazing work on the villains from Fury (Dogold) and the Vivix (Zormia) have freaking awesome detail and I’ve come to expect Villain figures to be excellent and Bandai America has not disappointed me, for what they are, since 2010. Deker, Xandred, Moogers, Vrak, Loogies, X-Borgs & Vekar are all amazing and I can’t wait to add Fury to collection!
Here are the images of the New Legacy Items coming out in 2015!
Legacy Titanus was combined with the Legacy Megazord and Legacy Dragonzord to create the Legacy Ultrazord! These toys look freaking amazing combined and I cannot wait to own the Legacy Titanus so that I can combine them into the Ultrazord!
There was also a prototype of the upcoming Movie Morpher and Falcon coin! In 2015 we will be celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Movie from 1995 and what better way to celebrate than with Movie Legacy Items!
The Legacy Tiger Zord looked fantastic and streamlined from the original design! This will make an excellent to your Legacy Collection!
The most amazing addition to this set will be the Legacy Saba which was huge and highly detailed with chrome and a large blade! I cannot wait to own this!
I was lucky enough to get a guaranteed ticket for the PMC4 Exclusive Ranger Key Set!
Luckily enough for me as well we received the PMC Exclusive inside of our Power Force Swag Bag as well! So the above image is of my autographed version and the other is of the opened version I used to try out the sounds.
While the Red and Translucent Green Ranger Key spouts “Exclusive!” in the Legendary Morpher, the PMC Keys say “Power Morphicon!”
Below are some images of the keys and of them flipped!
Which Toys are you looking forward to the most from Dino Charge?!
Have you paid inflated prices for the PMC Exclusive?
