TOOT-TOOT RESSHA SENTAI TOQGER. Let’s go! Today’s episode is entitled: “Rise of an Empress”
This episode is astounding. Let’s go!
As they set-up for the wedding ceremony, Grita has a flashback from last episode. Zed has taken care of General Schwarz…..
The ToQgers try to remember the festival their town held… about stars… close to the water…. where their secret base was….
Grita puts on the wedding dress…
And is walking toward Zed…
When Grita grabs his wrist. Zed tries to attack with a burst of dark energy, but the attack is stopped because by grabbing his wrist, can no longer attack her.
Then Madame Noire shares the family secret of EATING MEN. EATING THEIR HUSBAND.
SHE EATS HIM. SHE STRAIGHT UP EATS HIM LIKE A FRENCH FRY.
PS General Schwarz leaves Grita for military power and freedom.
The team tries to remember the past….
But then, a Darkliner approaches. Akira joins the ToQgers and they morph. Akira and Schwarz duel; yassss sword slaying.
As the ToQgers battle, Crows take the Rainbow Line, Wagon, Ticket, and Mr. Conductor hostage.
Very sassy captives.
As the ToQgers try to go save their friends, Madame Noire and red-eyed Empress Grita show up. And she ain’t fucking around/has a new voice actor. I really want her to take a new form though.
General Schwarz takes over the Rainbow Line and against their will, forms ToQ-Oh.
I love that he says it with rose petals falling. lol
Akira calls upon Build Dai-Oh and the ToQgers in Diesel-Oh.
The two do special attacks, but Schwarz ToQ-Oh stops the attack with a Crossing Sword attack.
Out of nowhere, Empress Grita calls upon her own Darkliner Robo who looks a lot like Prince Vekar from Gokaiger/Super Megaforce. JUST BECAUSE SHE WANTED TO FIGHT.
Grita’s Robo uses “Darkness Fall” to send the ToQgers (minus Akira who has a sword to his zord’s throat) into, well, darkness. Memories begin to get darker…
The ToQgers are in trouble!
The episode leaves us with the ToQgers in trouble, but next episode Cho Cho ToQ Dai-Oh makes it’s debut to put a stop to Schwarz and Grita!
Review
I loved this episode. We’ve been building to the wedding for awhile and finally learning Madame Noire’s plan was perfect. But then Schwarz’s and Grita’s Robo attacks were random and perfect plots. The humor and battle scenes in this episode were spot on. We’re about half-way through ToQger now, so shit should start going crazy from here on out now. Cho Cho ToQ Dai-Oh looks so bad ass. This episode deserves a stellar 8.5 out of 10. God I really enjoy this season.
Until next time, this has been SimplyScott1/PowerSentai. Stay imaginative!
