Villains, Mentors and Monsters of the Day are quickly becoming some of the most rare, expensive, sought after and hard to find Figures in Power Rangers History. One such case in current history is the figure of Prince Vekar which I am still unable to find in stores. (Yes, I am aware of eBay and Amazon, but I refuse to pay extra when it should be in stores!) Thinking back to the Samurai & Super Samurai days it was very hard to find Master Xandred and Deker; Megaforce’s Vrak was another hard figure to find! These figures I have only seen in stores once, when I purchased them!
I’ve taken your suggestions, a few of my own and discussed with my friends and followers!
Finding these figures has been difficult for me and for others and thus makes them the most sought after and rare. Whether it comes to figures on the card or loose, this list is my own opinion on what is rare. If you do not see a Figure on this list you believe is Rarer than the items listed please feel free to add them to our comment section!
Being a toy collector myself, I have noticed the following!
Here are the 21 Rarest Figures (in NO Particular Order!)
Barbarax (Space Android)
Lost Galaxy
Barbarax was a lacky of Captain Mutiny during the final arc of Lost Galaxy!
The name on the figure’s card is simply stated as Space Android, this figure must have been on store shelves before the character was named!
Frax (Time Force Combo Pack)
Time Force
Frax was a henchman for Ransik in the early episodes of Time Force, but when he went off on his own is when he truly shined!
Frax was available as both a stand alone figure on card as well as a figure included in a combo pack!
Vexacus
Ninja Storm
Vexacus was a badass bounty hunter who was a sworn enemy of Lothor!
His figure came with swords and is a prized asset to many Villain Figure collectors!
Ransik (Time Force Command Center)
Time Force
Ransik, a mutant from the Year 3000, was a figure I did not even know existed until recently!
He was apart of the Time Force Command Center play-set, these figures are immensely hard to find!
Tengu Warrior (Evil Space Aliens)
Mighty Morphin’ (Season 3)
Although the name is different in the actual show, the Tenga Warrior (Rita and Zedd’s foot soldiers in Season 3) are another toy that is hard to find in good condition or on the card!
Zurgane
Ninja Storm
Zurgane was the henchman of Lothor and yet was one of the most competent villains of his time, it seems only right for his figure to be highly desired!
Master Org (Savage Battle Pack)
Wild Force
Master Org was the severely creepy Main Villain in Wild Force and even got his own obscure figure!
In the Savage Battle Pack 5/6 of the Rangers were included with new powered-up weapons and a Master Org complete with staff!
Lauren (Red Ranger)
Super Samurai
I have a personal vendetta against how this figure was released. I remember when we first found out that Shinkenger would be adapted into Samurai/Super Samurai and immediately I wanted to buy the Female Red Ranger Figure!
Sadly, this figure was only released in the UK (as far as I know) and was never released officially here in the US.
That makes this figure still highly sought after even though Samurai ended in 2012!
Lothor (Mobile Control Center)
Ninja Storm
I recently stumbled upon this figure at a local Flea Market and I immediately scooped it up!
Lothor, the Evil Space Ninja, was included in the Mobile Control Center toy making him another figure stalked by collectors!
Mesogog (Command Center Truck)
Dino Thunder
The Mesogog figure was included in the Dino Thunder Command Center Truck!
Again, the figures are quite obscure when included in packs such as this. It then become highly prized when they are by themselves on Ebay.
Princess Shayla (Temple Ruins Playset)
Wild Force
Shayla was a highly prized figure for me when I found out it existed. She is included in the Temple Ruins Playset.
My love for the Deer Zord only made me want to own her even more! She has no real articulation but is beautifully painted and sculpted!
“Broodwing” (Evil Space Aliens) Purple & Gold Modes
SPD
While a real Broodwing Figure does not exist two Evil Space Alien Figures were released with an eerie similarity to the villain.
Each in Purple and Gold these were simple recolored Krybots with a Broodwing-like Headdress. Sadly, there was no aquarium style helmet!
Mammoth Ranger, T-Rex Ranger & Tricera Ranger
RPM
After the success of the Spirit Rangers in Jungle Fury, Figures of the Dino-Themed Rangers based on the PaleoMax Zords were released.
Each figure is based on the ancient train Zords Mammoth, T-Rex and Tricera!
Once RPM went off the air these figures proved to be hard to find, but lately they are varied on Ebay!
Zeltrax
Dino Thunder
Zeltrax, the unlikely adversary of Dr. Tommy Oliver, came with not only a shield but an ax as well!
Jenji
Mystic Force
Jenji was not a well received character during his reign on Power Rangers Mystic Force, which made his figure that much harder to find.
Strangely, the Figure was disguised as a Red Ranger figure with his helmet hidden under Jenji’s face!
Camille feat Flit (Evil Mele)
Jungle Fury
Female Villain (or Female Figures in general) are hard to come by but when they come with an adorable side kick it makes them that much more desirable!
Camille (stated as Evil Mele) came with the Flit Figure, these two are severely wanted by me! How about you?
Captain Mutiny (Space Buccaneer)
Lost Galaxy
Originally sold as “Space Buccaneer” this pirate villain would later go on to become Captain Mutiny of the Lost Galaxy!
This figure is not widely known but is highly sought after for collectors of the villain persuasion!
Ecliptor
In Space
Ecliptor, the valiant protector of Astronema, got an amazing looking figure during Power Rangers in Space.
Not only is he one of the greatest villains Power Rangers has ever seen but he is also one of the rarest figures to come out of the Zordon Era.
Divatox (Pirate Queen Cape Action)
Turbo
Many people believe that Rita Repulsa in 2011 was the first female Villain to obtain a figure, but that couldn’t be further from the truth!
Divatox beat Rita to the punch when her figure was release in 1997 with Pirate Queen Cape Action!
This figure now goes for an outrageous price on Ebay!
Diabolico
Lightspeed Rescue
I can’t even begin to tell you how wanted this figure is, not only by me but MANY Power Rangers Fans out there!
Diabolico comes with his awesome staff, wings and a moving belly!
Commander Doggy Cruger
SPD
Writing this list was the first time that I have ever seen this figure! Doggie Cruger got his own figure during SPD and is one of the few mentors to get a figure!
Personally, I would rather have this figure than the Shadow Ranger!
What other figures would you have added to this list?
Do you own any of these?
