Let’s breakdown Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Brave 47 – “Counter-Attack! The Greatest and Ultimate Brave”
This episode. I just can’t. So much amazing. Let’s savor this episode and join me on this journey to the end….
We begin with a beautiful role-call. The Kyoryugers start fighting the paramonsters.
As well as Ramirez, aka “Mr. Beardy,” protects Yuko’s daughter (Nossan’s sister).
And Yuko now has a Gabarevolver to fight off Paramonsters as well. WOW.
Suddenly back at the battle, a strange cloud lifts the Kyoryugers from the battle.
In Tessai’s illusion cloud, the team learns that Torin and Dantesu had told the Ramirez and Tessai the plan to destroy hell from within.
Because if hell still existed, Deboss could revive his whole army back again.
We also learn that if Dantesu kills Torin as a force of good, he can destroy hell from within.
The new soldier of joy starts to attack Tessai’s illusion cloud so Ramirez and Tessai head to the land of the dark….
And we meet our new replacements for Cyan and Gray: Shinya and Yuko. Nossan tries to protect her….
But apparently she knew for awhile. YOU DON’T SAY.
Then Plezu-Oh attacks the large soldier of joy AND IT’S DR. ULSHADE with wonderful back-popping noises and all.
Then Yayoi shows up and collects the Victory and Maximum batteries to synchronize them with Earth’s melody to destroy Lord Deboss.
Then as explosions occur, our new Cyan and Gray Kyoryu-change to complete our 10 Kyoryuger team.
As the extra Kyoryugers (Gray, Violet, Silver, and Cyan) take on the paramonsters at the battlefield, the other 6 Kyoryugers go on to destroy the frozen palace.
Suddenly, the frozen palace zaps their melody and they de-morph.
But then, Endorf and Dogold show up and Utchy stays to fight so the rest of the team can go on.
The same occurs for Nossan who takes on a pack of Paramosnters on a bridge so the rest of the team can continue on.
Finally, a huge pack of Paramonsters and Clambestians show up to take on the final 4 Kyoryugers and Ian & Souji decide to take this group on.
While Souji and Ian take on the monsters, Amy and King take Deinochasers to fly into the frozen palace. lolz
As Souji with his Featheredge Sword and Ian with his two Gaburevovlers take on the Paramonsters, they have a touching moment where Ian calls Souji by his real name and not “boy.” LITERALLY LIFE CHANGING.
Back in the forest with Utchy, Dogold murders Endorf. And it’s wonderful.
As Endorf sends his final attack to destroy Dogold…
Dogold separates and reattaches to Utchy, but not fully; only as protection and not taking over his body. CAN YOU SAY SYMMETRY AND THAT THIS HAS GONE FULL CIRCLE.
Together, Dogold and Utchy use Thunderstorm Afterglow to finally destroy Endorf for good.
After Endorf’s death, Dogold and Utchy have one final showdown and they strike each other at the same time.
Dogold dies as well as Utchy who lays on the ground with blood coming out of his mouth. I CANNOT TAKE TWO SENTAIS IN A ROW WITH A DYING RANGER IN THE END. HE BETTER BE OKAY.
Amy and King finally fly into the frozen palace on their motorbikes and sass it up.
We are left with the two taking on an entire army of Paramonsters in the frozen palace…..TO BE CONTINUED.
Review
IF UTCHY DIES, I SWEAR TO GOD. But otherwise, I loved the episode with time taken out to explain the new rangers (who are perfect) and the way each Kyoryuger had a moment as a defender for their cause. This episode had a lot of heart in it and I just love this team. I seriously am going to go through withdrawals after this team leaves us next week. Like, these people are brave warriors who have made me laugh, cry, and love them as family. I will enjoy next week’s closing, but at the end of Go-Busters I literally cried for a good hour sooooo God help us all. Please come back next week as we say good bye to the Kyoryugers. : ( 9.7/10.
