Three identical words can be used to describe this episode the best. RUSH! RUSH! RUSH! Everything in this episode, while epic and at times very engrossing was extremely rushed. I still feel it’s valid to point out that we could have done without “Raising Spirits” and “RoboKnight Before Christmas” and added two more plot developing episodes that would have made the death of Metal Alice and The Messenger a little more meaningful. Not to mention the impending Armada which could have gotten just a bit more development. We rushed through the battle with Vrak; Messenger did get a decent battle but was rushed even so, Metal Alice vowed revenge and yet died in 15 seconds and then suddenly the Armada arrives and all hell breaks loose. Don’t get me wrong, I loved this episode and all that came from it, but this truly deserved a two-parter to do it justice.

Final Thoughts
As I previously stated in the intro, this episode was severely rushed and you can tell by my description of the action that this episode packed in a lot of plot and a lot of action. The action was very well put together and the scenes used from Goseiger and Gokaiger made this episode completely exciting! The Rangers battles, morphs, use of weapons and combinations attacks were epic! I mean, how cool was that flip, explosion and morph combo?!
I cannot tell you enough how much of a little kid I felt like when the Armada finally landed on Earth! I have not felt that kind of excitement since I was a little boy during MMPR. I think it’s because Gokaiger has such a huge place in my heart and my life that I was so excited to see it finally be a part of Power Rangers. I feel like I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long long time! Therefore, I must say that the moment of the Armada’s arrival is my favorite moment of the episode!
In closing of my encompassing love of Vrak and Metal Alice I must now talk about the end of their relationship. I loved this scene in Goseiger and I absolutely loved it even more in Power Rangers. I had more of a connection to Vrak than I did to his Japanese counterpart and the same could be said for Metal Alice. Even though this scene was amongst what was rushed, I believe they did it justice. You could hear the sorrow and heartbreak in Metal Alice’s voice as she was defeated and then again as her master walked away from her, marking her a failure. It was here that we again see how brutal and calculating that Vrak is and proves, that even though he is now cyborg, he is still Vrak. I am a little sad that Metal Alice took no more than 30 seconds to be defeated but I take it into account that she may have been a little weak after the events of both “Staying on Track” & “The Messenger” I just love her that much! As for Vrak, I am very intrigued that he lived through the final episode of Megaforce and that somehow he will be included in Super Megaforce. I was expecting to see his final “Angelic” form from Goseiger during this episode, but that would have made it even more rushed! I am super curious to see how this will tie into Super Megaforce and how the first episode will tie in that footage with Gokaiger footage. Just how will the Rangers get those Super Mega Powers?
Moving onto the Messenger. Even though he was barely in two episodes I really enjoyed watching his attacks and spars with the Rangers and even his destruction was very cool to see. He made the last two episodes very enjoyable instead of being just a monster of the day. Strangely, now brace yourselves, I must commend the writers for their use of Sentai footage for the Messenger. He was a sort of main villain in Goseiger and even though they did not make him as such they still utilized his suit and footage perfectly. Kudos.
It is normal for the cast of Rangers to become a little more intense during the final episodes of their season. We saw the same with the Samurai cast as they don the burnt makeup and the tattered clothes and show off their grunt faces and angry looks. It worked for Samurai IMO and it worked for Megaforce. Each Ranger actor’s performance was very satisfying for me and it is because of this that I place hope in them that they can do Gokaiger justice. However, if you are reading this try not to compare Super Megaforce to Gokaiger too much because they are going to be completely different. It is of no use to think that Super Megaforce will be exactly like Gokaiger because it simply will not be. Just remember that and you will enjoy Super Megaforce a lot more.
RoboKnight. What can I say. He proved to be rather heroic in this episode, using all his power in order to weaken the Messenger and restore the Rangers morphers. He slowly is making up for the rapping and yet I hate the fact that my last review for Megaforce will be his Christmas Episode. Stay tuned for that next week!
