Before I start, HUGE thanks to Tokunation, who interviewed Brehan Maul from Bandai of America, asking him questions regarding the Deluxe Legendary Morpher, Ranger Keys, future Legacy products and more!
Here’s what we learned about the Deluxe Legendary Morpher: the swords do open and close like the prop in the show, which is what a lot of people were worrying about. The keypad is also fully functional, unlike the Robo Knight Morpher. It was also implied that the Legendary Morpher could possibly have a larger sound bank than the Mobirates from Gokaiger.
Here’s what we learned about the Keys: although it wasn’t revealed, it was confirmed that we are getting USA-exclusive Keys that Japan did not get (possibly Titanium/Spirit Rangers Keys). Also, each Key will unlock unique sounds, and you can scan graphics off the Keys to unlock said Rangers in an upcoming app.
We also learned some interesting information about the Legacy Dragon Dagger. Although the displayed prototype was completely plastic, the final product won’t be, even though the edge won’t be die-cast metal, due to safety reasons. It was also revealed at NYCC that the Legacy Power Morpher: Green/White Ranger Edition, which was originally a SDCC exclusive (with 24K gold plates), will see an official release! You can pre-order it now on the Toys R Us website here. As for future Legacy releases, BOA was wanting to move on to a different season, although nothing is planned at the time.
And as we already knew, the Action Card Game will continue next year, however, promo cards will most likely be replaced by Keys.
This is some incredible news regarding next year’s toys! I don’t know about you, but I personally can’t wait for the Super Megaforce toy-line! Again, HUGE thanks to Tokunation for this amazing interview! Check out the full article here, and don’t forget to follow them for live updates from New York Comic-Con!
Do you think 2014 will be a SUPER MEGA year? Which of these releases do you most look forward to?
