A new article from KidScreen features a few new tidbits of information and a few confusing ones as well!
“Forty new half-hour episodes of the series, which is expected to air on Nickelodeon in the US in 2013, will be on offer to international buyers by MarVista, the exclusive international distributor for Saban Brands’ Power Rangers.”
This can be a little confusing considering MegaForce will take place over two years and will feature two 20-Episode Seasons.
Or so we know so far!
“Power Rangers Megaforce follows the adventures of a supernatural guardian, Gosei, who summons the help of five teenagers, the Power Rangers Megaforce, to battle the evil Warstar aliens who have launched a massive invasion.”
A new interpretation of Gosei which makes him sound even more like a Zordon successor.
At this point, I’m not sure how to feel about that idea. Would he be his brother? A long lost son?
Who knows, but as I always say we should wait until we see it before judging!
“In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the live-action boys series Power Rangers, L.A.-based MarVista Entertainment will debut the newest version of the franchise, Power Rangers Megaforce, at MIPCOM 2012.”
“In support of the new series, Saban Brands will launch an extensive consumer products campaign, character appearances, retail promotions and advertising.”
Looks like we have something to look forward to at MIPCOM 2012 this year which is apparently October 8-11 in Cannes, France!
I’m sure we will all be watching to see what new content is unveiled!
One last tidbit of info:
“The latest news comes on the heels of the UK’s Channel 5 picking up Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai.”
That’s great news for UK Power Ranger Fans!
