The forums and social networks have been a buzz ever since the announcement that the Casting has begun for Power Rangers 2013!
Two casting sides have been released, one for the Pink Ranger and one for two un-named Male Rangers! Big thanks to @Iam_DarkBlaze for achieving the casting sides!
There are a few candidates so far and to join in the discussion there’s no better place than RangerCrew!

First, take a look at the Pink Ranger Casting side, which seems to have kept the Pink Ranger’s fake name from Samurai’s auditions as Sadie, and Red as Reese. Now, a lot of what you are about to read may not make much sense, but it has been said that this dialogue comes from “OhPink” of OhRanger during a scene in Gokaiger:
**** FEMALE PINK RANGER SIDES – SADIE ****
INT. COMAND CENTER – LIVING ROOM – DAY
SADIE paces nervously. She checks her watch.
REESE (O.S.)
Are you really that concerned about the time?
SADIE
N-not really.
REESE
There’s only one reason a military
Officer is interested in the time.
To calculate if a mission is on schedule.
SADIE
I’m impressed. I thought you were naive.
REESE
Just what are you scheming?
SADIE
I guess it’s out in the open. My orders were to find
and delay your team.
REESE
Delay?
SADIE
The Commander is negotiating a deal with Silas.
(frankly)
We needed to keep you out of the way.
REESE
But he’s a hero. How could he betray us
and make a deal with a terrorist?
SADIE
That’s not it! There’s no deal.
It’s just a ploy so he can face Silas alone.
He’s doing this to retrieve the stolen Zaferia Stone.
REESE
Regardless, he shouldn’t be on his own.
SADIE
I know it’s dangerous. If he fails,
Silas has the power to steal his life force.
(earnestly)
If that happens, we’ll entrust you
with the rest of the Zaferia Stones.
That’s another reason I was sent to you.
REESE
Entrust us? But we’re wanted criminals.
SADIE
The Commander knows you’re more than that.
That’s why he was willing to risk everything…
because he believes in you.
Her watch BEEPS.
SADIE
It’s time. He hasn’t contacted me
and that means he’s failed. I’m
entrusting you with the rest of the
stones. Our survival depends on it.
There is also a second Casting side for Male Ranger #1 ( which seems to be a dialogue from GokaiBlue from Gokaiger. But, this time the cyborg is his brother and not his former partner): & Male Ranger #2
**** MALE RANGER #1 SIDES ****
EXT. FIELD
A teenager, RANGER 1, walks toward a sword that juts up from the ground. He
then looks up as he sees… a Cyborg Warrior approaching.
CYBORG
I’ve been waiting.
RANGER 1
Jake?
RANGER 1 walks forward to meet him.
RANGER 1
I didn’t believe but it’s true.
(pauses a beat)
You are my brother!
RANGER 1 grabs the Cyborg, trying to get through to it.
RANGER 1
Please open your eyes. Please remember me!
The Cyborg swiftly punches the young man in gut and sends him
flying back. The Cyborg takes the sword from the ground.
RANGER 1
C’mon, I can bring you back. You’re human.
RANGER 1 pulls his own sword and postures with the blade. The
Cyborg turns coolly.
CYBORG
So you’re imitating me?
RANGER 1
Please remember!
RANGER 1 sends an energy blast hurtling through the air from his sword but the
Cyborg easily deflects it. RANGER 1 is shocked.
CYBORG
I now have a perfect mechanical body.
I am a loyal warrior for the empire. I know nothing of this
“brother” you speak of…
The Cyborg turns to leave. Emotions welling up, RANGER 1 rushes after him.
RANGER 1
That can’t be true! You’re lying!!!
He grabs the Cyborg’s shoulder from behind.
RANGER 1
Jake!
This only makes the Cyborg wheel around and viciously hit RANGER 1. Their
swords clash and they duel.
RANGER 1
Remember who you are!
RANGER 1 is knocked to the ground. He grabs at the Cyborg’s leg.
RANGER 1
You’re a man. Not a machine!
Dismissing RANGER 1’s pleas, the Cyborg shakes him off and walks away.

Defeated and emotional, RANGER 1 watches him.
RANGER 1
You really are lost to me.
The Final side takes place between “Ryan Jones” the Red Ranger of the Star Force (A place holder name for Dairanger) and Ranger 2 the Silver Ranger of Mega Force (most likely, Gokaiger) This scene was taken from the Dairanger tribute episode of Gokaiger, it is most likely that the Dairanger team will not be used in this season of Power Rangers.
**** MALE RANGER #2 SIDES ****
EXT. CITY, STREET DAY
RANGER 2 walks along. He’s despondent.
RANGER 2
My Morpher… What am gonna do?!
He reaches the corner of a building and turns right into an older man riding a
bike! They collide and both fall to the ground. The older man, RYAN, gets up and
moves to help.
RYAN
Hey, are you okay?
RANGER 2
(embarrassed)
Ah, I’m fine.
Getting up, RANGER 2 sees man’s face and reacts.
RANGER 2
(GASPS) … Could you be?!
The Red Ranger of the Star Force!
You’re Ryan Jones, right?
RYAN
I am. But how did you know that?
(then back to the issue)
Anyway, are you hurt?
RANGER 2 bounces up. The last thing he wants is to look injured
in front of a Legendary Ranger.
RANGER 2
I’m fine. See? I’m perfectly okay.
RANGER 2 then aggressively does some martial arts stances to “peacock” for
the man.
RANGER 2
After all, I’m the Silver Ranger!
RYAN
Silver Ranger?
RANGER 2
Yes!
RYAN
You’re the kid that just joined the Mega Force?
RANGER 2 takes Ryan’s hand and shakes it excitedly.
RANGER 2
One and the same. I’m RANGER Smith!
RANGER 2’s excitement suddenly ends, he remembers his predicament.
RANGER 2
Although… right now… I can’t transform.
RYAN
Why not?
RANGER 2
The aliens took my Morpher.
I can’t believe it I let that happen.
RYAN
That’s bad but keep your spirits up.
RANGER 2 appreciates advice.
RANGER 2
I’ve admired you and the other
Legendary Rangers since I was little.
He remembers his calling and fills with pride.
RANGER 2
So, when I got my Morpher, I was so happy. To suddenly be a Power
Ranger. A hero!
(then darkening again)
But…

RYAN
But?
RANGER 2
If I can’t transform… then I’m no longer a hero.
What does that make me?
Hmmm! This opens a lot of questions! But, it looks like Mega Force = Gokaiger at this point. We know that the Red Ranger of the Star Force (most likely a place holder name for Dairanger) may interact with the Silver Ranger from Mega Force. We know that somehow the Zeo/Ohranger Episode may see the light of day, but with obviously different dialogue. We also know that the story of the Cyborg and his relationship to the Blue Ranger of Mega Force will be fleshed out! However, we don’t know which stories will be used or even see the light of day!
But what exciting times it is as we near the 20th Anniversary!
