Here is a look at the cockpit in Shinken-Oh of Samurai Sentai Shinkenger. As you can see it is quite different from the updated version we see in Power Rangers Samurai. Let’s take a look at some of the differences in each of these cockpits.
(Please excuse me if there are any Sentai-related mistakes/errors)

In Shinkenger, each Ranger has a simple podium in front of them and two solemn Shiba Symbols behind them, complete with a golden wall.
ShinkenPink’s podium has a pink circle, ShinkenGreen’s has a green square, ShinkenRed has a red pentagon, ShinkenBlue has a blue hexagon and ShinkenYellow has a yellow triangle.  Each of the podiums has a knotted golden symbol in the middle in which the Rangers stand behind. The Shinkenmaru, known as the Samurai Spin Sword in Power Rangers, is used here to control the cockpits of not only the individual Origami but  inside the combined Shinken-Oh as well! Each of the Rangers’ separate podiums also reside within their respective Origami.

In the Power Rangers adaptation of Shinkenger we got a completely new cockpit! Personally I love this new cockpit and the new Ranger suit upgrades known as Mega Mode!  Instead of their Spin Swords, the Rangers use their new Mega Blades not only to operate the Zords but also to initiate the final strike!  We also see an improvement in the Megazord suits but see new podiums for each of the Rangers! Each podium is sleek and silver complete with each of the Rangers colors. If you look close enough you can make out the heads of each of the Rangers Zords! Pink has a Turtle, Green has a Bear, Red has his Lion, Blue has a Dragon and Yellow has her Ape! Behind them is a huge Shiba symbol complete with what looks like several arching v-shaped symbols!

In Shinkenger’s Daitenku, the combination of the Beetle, Tiger and Swordfish, the Shinkenger gain new colored podiums. However, they are of the same design as their original. ShinkenGreen has gained a new orange podium retaining his green square. ShinkenRed now has a white podium keeping his red pentagon. ShinkenBlue now has a lighter blue podium and still has his blue hexagon.

In Power Rangers Samurai, when the Rangers form the Samurai Battlewing they retain their respective colored podiums but gain new heads to adorn the tops. Green gains a Beetle, Red has a Tiger and Blue gets a Swordfish!

Here is the first image of ShinkenGold in his cockpit. This must be an image from Ika Origami and not Ebi Origami because there is no spinner in this picture. But as you can see his podium matches his Ranger suit style and is complete with a golden star at the front!

Here is an image of the Octozord cockpit where we first see the Gold Ranger’s podium and symbols. Behind him you can see the star symbol we had seen with ShinkenGold’s motif.

I wasn’t able to find an image of the Ebi Origami cockpit but here you can see that the Samurai version inside of the ClawZord adds a Lobster body to the front of the Gold Ranger’s podium!

One of the changes I liked the most was inside of the Samurai Shark Megazord! All of the Rangers colors are displayed in the giant V behind the Mega Rangers! The motif matches that of the Samurai Shark’s helmet that is added to the Samurai Megazord.

Here you can see Super Mega Mode Red Ranger inside the Bull Zord cockpit where a new Bull Head has been added!

Inside Samurai Ha-Oh is the combination of most of the Shinkenger Origami and inside the cockpit there is not much change to what we’ve already seen before.

Inside the GigaZord cockpit is only one change! There is a giant golden Power Symbol in the middle of the V shape at the back of the Megazord to go along with the Bull Zord and Shogun Ranger motif!

One wonders what the new MegaForce cockpits will look like. Will we get a new cockpit or will it stay the same?
Here is what the cockpit for Gosei-Great looks like in Goseiger:

Circles dorn the ceiling which may or may not represent halos and at the forefront are angel wings. Each Rangers podium/control panel have their Ranger symbols each with their own color. The Symbol for Goseiger is at the back in shiny gold!

What do you think? New Cockpit or Sentai Cockpit?
